Sue has worked in the Vocational Rehabilitation field for 26 years. She has worked for a non-profit agency, a private vocational rehabilitation company and the federal government providing VR services to clients considered severely disabled (Canada Pension Plan Disability) and veterans. In her non-profit and private employment, she has worked primarily with clients with psychological/psychiatric issues and brain injuries. In addition, Sue has provided medical/legal vocational injury assessments and Transferrable Skills Analyses for personal injury matters. She has been accepted as an expert witness in court. For the past 13 years, Sue has worked as an advisor/consultant on vocational rehabilitation and mental health issues for Veterans Affairs Canada.
Sue is currently the President of the Manitoba Society of VRA and chairs the Communications Committee.
Sue currently works part-time for Veterans Affairs Canada in the mental health unit and also part-time for the College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (CVRP) as the CEU Coordinator reviewing CEU submissions and pre-approving related courses, programs, webinars, etc.
Sue holds a Masters of Social Work degree is a Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor (CCRC) a Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP) and is Master’s Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional: CVRP (F).
